Recognizing the local need within the greater parish communities of St. Ignatius Loyola and St. Francis of Assisi, David Fobert, founding Grand Knight of the council, inspired thirty-two fellow Catholic gentlemen to join him in responding to this call; thus was born, Our Lady of Peace Council #8668.  From its infancy in the spring of 1984, our council has grown to some 130 members who annually support numerous charities and organizations including Carmel Heights Residence for Seniors, Vita Centre, Hart House Hospice, St Vincent de Paul Societies, Eden Food For Change, the St Ignatius Loyola CSS Breakfast Club, among many others both locally and beyond.
